With the blessings of God and Gurus, we are planning to organize Mahalaya Shraaddha ceremony at HARIHARANANDA GURUKULAM, Balighai, Puri on October 14th, 2023.

Shraaddha is an act of expressing deep respect and gratitude towards our departed ancestors. It also aids the departed soul in its onward journey.

Shraaddha performed on MAHALAYA AMAVASYA invokes special blessings to all deceased. If performed in holy places like Sri Jagannatha Puri and in Sadhguru Peetha, Hariharananda Gurukulam (Sri Guru Govinda Gou peetha), it helps the departed soul move towards attaining liberation.

Both Kriyavans as well as non Kriyavans can avail this opportunity. In case one does not remember the names of the ancestors of the deceased near and dear ones , still you can do shraddha.

You need to pay a nominal dakshina (fee) which would be used for shraaddha materials, dakshina for priests and to feed Gou-mata. it would be INR 5000 for Indians and $150/€150 or equivalent for people residing outside India.
