As the waters of many rivers enter the ocean, which remains unruffled though filled from many sides, so do self realized devotees merge the many aspects of their lives into the soul and find peace. A person with spiritual awakening shuns all negative qualities. The life of such a person is full and complete, when even living in the material world of sense objects. Such a person is always the same, even as many turbulent rivers of life flow into his changeless consciousness.
Realized yogis, those who have attained Shambhavi mudra, a higher stage of Kriya, are always engrossed in the soul even when they come from the meditation stage. They have self-control, self-reliance, self-possession and self-knowledge. In this stage the devotees find soul everywhere and remain detached from negative things, while the minds of those who do not meditate are constantly restless, unpleasant, unhealthy and sleepless wanting to posses everything they see in the world.
Sthita Prajna is one whose senses are completely restrained from all sense objects
