Breath Control

Breath control is self-control and breath mastery is self-mastery. By breath control automatically you will become free from mind, thought, intellect and ego, which are the main hindrances of your meditation. When you sit for meditation many thoughts enter your mind but by Kriya yoga practice you can stop your worldly senses within five minutes’ time. Then fix your mind between your two eyebrows. Take deep inhalations and exhalations.

If you practice in this manner for a short period and seek the Soul calmly near the pituitary, you will feel divine sensation. At that time your mind will remain absorbed in the soul, and you will perceive only divine light, sound, and vibration. Then you need not watch your incoming and out going breaths. The breath will be very feeble: it will move slowly inside the nostrils.

But you must have guidance from an experienced and realized teacher, who will help you to reach the introverted stage.
